Store Nº8 is excited to announce the latest innovation coming out of the incubation arm of Walmart — grocery delivery directly into a customer’s fridge or freezer.
Walmart InHome Delivery is now available in
Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Vero Beach. Learn more.
InHome Delivery is another way that Walmart
continues to deliver on its commitment to helping customers save money and time.
The last mile, now down to the last 15 feet.
The InHome team set out to close the gap on the last mile of delivery. It represents the intersection of advanced technology, operational excellence, a sophisticated supply chain, and trusted associates — the best parts of Walmart coming together to create even more convenience for our customers.
What Delivery Window?
KNOCK KNOCK. WHO'S THERE? YOUR MILK, EGGS, AND PET FOOD.
Even with all the advancements made in delivery, the fact remains that customers can’t always be home to receive their grocery order. With InHome Delivery, customers can go about their day while their ice cream is put right into the freezer.
Incubation in Action
From concept to execution, the InHome team set out to make magic for customers. As Marc Lore said "Imagine going to work, coming home and there it is — in your fridge already… That's the future."
PHASE 1: DESIGN
We began by exploring some questions.
What if Walmart could free families up to spend time on things that mattered most? What if we not only did the grocery shopping and delivered it, but went so far as to put it directly into the refrigerator in the kitchen or garage? And, what if the customer didn't have to be home?
